Stones That Heal: Chlorite Quartz

Chlorite is a rich green argile that can be found within clear quartz in certain countries such as Nepal and Brazil. Gazing into a chlorite quartz often reveals scenes of natural landscapes such as rolling hill sides, soft foliage and flourishing bushes, making us feel as if we are stepping into an alter-reality where magical forest creatures await our encounter.

Chlorite reverberates cleanliness, balance and health. The color itself is the primary color of our natural world. When we take a nature walk our mind seems clearer, we naturally slow down into the present moment, our breath deepens and our mood tends to stabilize. The color green represents nitrogen, an important element in the air we breath. It is a cool, fresh color that vibrates health, growth and new life. It is the color of universal attraction that invites a sense of equilibrium and normality where there is chaotic growth and instability.

QuartzChlorite naturally lifts the vibration of the human organism higher than that of illness. In a time where pollutants are virtually impossible to avoid, this opulent mineral offers us a certain protection that is both physical and psychic.

Chlorite’s ideal partnership with clear quartz was surely no accident, as quartz acts as an amplifying and ‘dispatching station’ which magnifies the power to transmit the green ray into our energetic field. Quartz with no mineral content, injects clear white light into the aura that acts to elevate ones vibration and to purify stagnant energies and blockages. Combined with the properties of chlorite, this light becomes a highly potentized, pristine green ray of which the purifying, protecting and healing properties extend far deeper than just the physical body.

Chlorite quartz is also known as the ‘Quartz of Compassion’ and its natural home is the heart chakra, which is itself the color green when seen on the etheric body. When we are close to nature do we also naturally feel closer to ourselves, closer to others? Is there a door that opens that is normally not there when we are immersed in the struggles and stress of daily life? Chlorite quartz helps us to trudge through the mire of lifetimes of karmic accumulations and guides us back to our place of origin, the heart.

The heart itself has a magnetic field that is 5,000 times greater than any other field in the human body. It can be detected several feet away from the body, and the energy generated from the heart center positively affects others, the environment and even our own brains and nervous system, and therefore our general emotional and physical health.[1] Is chlorite quartz trying to convey a message about the key to health and immunity? Are negative emotions bad for our health?

Fearing disease only depletes our immune system, and just one five-minute angry outburst suppresses a key immune antibody for up to six hours at a time, leaving us open to illness.[2] Compassion, goodwill and caring are essential if we wish to change our world, but are these ‘states’ or ‘feelings’ generated by the heart chakra also keys to health, purification and protection on all levels? Quartz chlorite

Chlorite quartz encourages us to work on ourselves but also for the benefit of others. If, for example, we are suffering from an immune disorder or from cancer of which the green ray is highly beneficial, can we meditate for all who suffer from the same disease? Generating the impersonal and powerful energy of compassion from the heart with the guidance of chlorite quartz can reach far beyond our own person, to our entourage, our city, country, world and beyond, including our own Earth whose land and waters are in dire need of cleansing and healing.

Chlorite quartz is a wonderful companion and guide yet pure intentions are a must. It is also important to know that all ‘energy work’ has a certain timing, order and rhythm; more is not necessarily better, and too much all at once can delay matters as one attempts, possibly with limited success, to integrate far too much all at once.

Listen for cues as to how to work with your chlorite quartz, a little goes a long way. It may call to you to meditate with it for a few days, you may then need another stone for a while, and then it may call again in an unexpected fashion…

The mysteries and secrets of these ‘Master Healers’ are just beginning to be revealed and appreciated. As the dictum goes there is nothing better than a good ‘heart to heart’ to clear the air, a message clearly conveyed from the Earth itself.
