Barbara’s Hazelnut Fudge
Makes 25 squares
Ingredients
- 1 C hazelnuts
- ½ C cacao paste, melted
- ¼ C cacao butter, melted
- 1 T coconut oil, melted
- ¾ C honey, melted (start with ½ C and add more, up to a ¾ C if you prefer extra sweetness)
- ½ C nut butter
- ¼ C cacao powder
- 1 t vanilla powder
- a pinch of salt
- extra hazelnuts
To Make
Put the hazelnuts through a food processor or an Oscar juicer with the flat plate twice. It will form a crumbed hazelnut paste.
Slowly blend all the melted ingredients together. Add the hazelnut paste, honey, nut butter, cacao powder, vanilla power, and salt. Blend slowly for a short time. Line a dish with baking paper and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle in extra hazelnuts. Allow to set for 4–6 hours.
