Just because the holidays (and their concomitant food-fests) are over, it doesn’t mean you can’t continue to enjoy some decadence, even if you’ve resolved to eat more healthily in the new year. This energizing and uplifting recipe from The Art of Raw Food by Jens Casupei and Vibeke Kaupert is a great breakfast stand-in that’s sure to help you get your morning—and year—off to a bright start.

Blue Passion Smoothie
1¾ cup (4 dls) pineapple
1¼ cup (3 dls) nut milk
2 tablespoons agave nectar
½ teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup (2 dls) blueberries
1 passion fruit
Blend the pineapple, nut milk, agave nectar, and vanilla. Pour the mixture into a champagne glass (or two) until it is half full.
Add the blueberries to the remaining mixture and blend, then add to the mixture in the half-filled glass.
Cut the passion fruit in half and remove the flesh with a spoon. Add the passion fruit and serve.
