Congratulations to Our 2016 Independent Publisher Book Award Winners!

Animal Wisdom   The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Revised Edition   Ocean Country

North Atlantic Books is pleased to announce that three of our recent releases have been acknowledged by the Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY). These awards, which will be presented at a ceremony in Chicago on the eve of Book Expo America, “honor the year’s best independently published titles from around the world.”

In the category of Animals/Pets, Linda Bender’s Animal Wisdom, won the gold medal.

In the Graphic Novel/Drawn Book – Drama/Documentary category, Phoebe Gloeckner’s The Diary of a Teenage Girl won the gold medal.

In the category of Environment/Ecology/Nature, Liz Cunningham’s Ocean Country was awarded the silver medal.

Also, in the Graphic Novel category, Sean Michael Wilson, author of Secrets of the Ninja, was awarded the bronze medal for his book The Faceless Ghost (Shambala Publications, Inc.).
